Why tyres fail
Common causes of tyre damage in the UAE
- 01
Heat and under-inflation
Road surfaces pass 60°C in summer. A tyre running 5–6 PSI low flexes more, builds heat and is the classic cause of highway blowouts.
Read more - 02
Age and dry rot
UV and heat dry the rubber out. Fine cracks in the sidewall mean the tyre is ageing even when the tread looks fine.
Read more - 03
Kerbs, potholes and speed bumps
An impact can break the internal cords and leave a bulge on the sidewall. A bulged tyre cannot be repaired and can fail without warning.
Read more - 04
Misalignment
Wear on one edge only is almost always alignment. Left alone it can finish a new tyre in under 15,000 km.

Protect your tyres
How to make your tyres last longer
- 01
Check pressure monthly, cold
Morning readings before driving. Set to the door placard, not the number on the sidewall.
- 02
Park in shade when you can
Basements and covered parking slow UV damage. Tyre covers help for cars parked outside for weeks.
- 03
Rotate every 8,000–10,000 km
Front tyres wear faster on most cars. Rotation evens it out so all four last.
- 04
Slow down for speed bumps
Villa communities are full of them. Low-profile tyres are the first to bulge.
- 05
Skip tyre shine with solvents
Solvent-based dressings dry the rubber. Use water-based products or plain soap.
- 06
Re-inflate after desert driving
Dropped to 15–18 PSI for sand? Pump back to road pressure before the highway.
Tyre types
Which type of tyre do you need?
- 01
Touring
Quiet, long-wearing tyres for sedans and family cars.
- 02
Ultra-high performance
Sticky compounds for sports and luxury cars. Shorter life.
- 03
SUV highway (H/T)
Load-rated, quiet on the E11, light gravel use.
- 04
All-terrain (A/T)
For weekday tarmac and weekend dunes.
- 05
Run-flat
Reinforced sidewalls let you drive 80 km at 80 km/h after a puncture.
- 06
EV tyres
High load index and noise-reducing foam for heavy electric cars.
FAQ
Questions drivers ask us
How much does tyre replacement cost in Dubai?
Mobile tyre replacement with 800 Tires starts from AED 100 per visit for labour, which covers removal, mounting, balancing, pressure setting and disposal of the old tyres. The tyres themselves are priced by size and brand: most 16–17 inch sedan tyres run from about AED 180 to AED 650 each, and SUV tyres from about AED 350 to AED 1,400 each.
Can you change my tyres at home or in a basement car park?
Yes. The van carries a mounting machine and wheel balancer, so the whole job is done where the car is parked: villa driveways, building basements, office car parks and mall parking. For towers with height limits we bring the equipment down on a trolley. If your building needs a visitor pass, share the security contact and we arrange it.
Are you really open 24 hours?
Yes, every day including Fridays and public holidays. Night call-outs for flat tyres and blowouts are the busiest part of our day. Arrival is usually 30–60 minutes inside city areas, longer for remote industrial zones or during heavy traffic.
Can I pay in instalments for new tyres?
Yes. You can split the total into 4 interest-free payments with Tabby or Tamara, subject to their approval. We also take credit and debit cards, Apple Pay and cash on site.
How do I know which tyre size my car needs?
The size is printed on the tyre sidewall as a code like 225/55 R18 98V: 225 mm width, 55% sidewall height ratio, 18-inch rim, load index 98 and speed rating V. The factory size is also on the sticker inside the driver's door frame. Send either one on WhatsApp and we match it.
How old can tyres be in the UAE?
Tyres more than five years past their DOT manufacture date are commonly rejected at UAE vehicle inspection, and the rubber hardens faster in the heat regardless of tread depth. The last four digits of the DOT code give the week and year, so 1224 means week 12 of 2024. We only fit recent stock and show you the code before fitting.
Can a punctured tyre always be repaired?
No. A puncture can be repaired when it is in the central tread area, no larger than about 6 mm, and the tyre has not been driven flat. Damage in the shoulder or sidewall, cuts, bulges, or a tyre that was run while flat must be replaced. We check from the inside before deciding.
Do you cover Abu Dhabi and Sharjah?
Yes. We run mobile tyre vans in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah, including Mussafah, Khalifa City, Yas, Al Reem, Al Nahda, Al Majaz and Muwaileh. See the area pages for local details.
Also serving Abu Dhabi and Sharjah
- Abu Dhabi 69 areas Abu Dhabi vans run out of Mussafah, a few minutes from Khalifa City, MBZ and the E10. New tyres fitted at your villa, tower or office, or on the E11 shoulder.
- Sharjah 37 areas Sharjah vans load up in the Industrial Area and reach Al Nahda, Al Majaz, Al Taawun and Muwaileh without the Al Ittihad Road crawl. Fitted in your building car park or street parking.
