The Dubai-owned budget brand from ZAFCO, made in partner factories in Asia

Zeetex tyres

Zeetex is the tyre brand of ZAFCO, a tyre distributor founded in Dubai in 1993. ZAFCO acquired the global rights to the Zeetex name from S&H Tires, a Netherlands-based company, in 2011, and has since built it into its own house brand sold in more than 80 countries. Zeetex is therefore a UAE-owned brand rather than a UAE-manufactured one.

Strengths

  • Low prices for a branded, new tyre in the UAE
  • Local distributor in Dubai, so common sizes are usually in stock with fresh DOT dates
  • Range designed with Gulf conditions in mind, including large SUV sizes
  • Comfortable, reasonably quiet ride on the HP6000 eco
  • AT5000 max gives budget off-road capability for Patrols and pickups

Trade-offs

  • Wet braking distances are longer than mid-range and premium brands
  • Tread life is shorter, often 30,000–45,000 km
  • Few independent European tests exist for direct comparison
  • Steering response feels vague at high speed on performance cars
  • No own factories, so quality depends on the partner plant

Suits these cars

  • Nissan Sunny, Toyota Yaris and Hyundai Accent on HP6000 eco
  • Toyota Camry, Nissan Altima and Kia K5 on HP6000 eco
  • Nissan X-Trail, Toyota RAV4 and Hyundai Tucson on SU5000 max
  • Toyota Land Cruiser, Nissan Patrol and Toyota Fortuner on HT5000 max
  • Toyota Hilux and Nissan Navara on AT5000 max

Performance

Zeetex tyres give adequate dry grip for normal driving, and the HP6000 eco is comfortable and fairly quiet in city traffic. The limits come earlier than on mid-range brands: emergency braking distances are longer, especially in the wet, and the tyres feel less precise in fast lane changes at 120–140 km/h.

The HT5000 max and SU5000 max are tuned for comfort on large SUVs rather than sporty handling, which matches how most UAE family SUVs are driven.

Durability

Expect 30,000–45,000 km from Zeetex passenger tyres and 35,000–50,000 km from the HT5000 max on a UAE SUV with rotation every 10,000 km. The compounds tolerate heat, but tread wears faster than on Japanese or Korean tyres.

Because Zeetex is distributed locally, stock tends to be fresh; still, check the four-digit DOT date at fitting.

In UAE conditions

Zeetex suits UAE drivers who want new tyres on a tight budget for city and highway use: delivery cars, older sedans, and family SUVs driven mostly in Dubai, Sharjah and Ajman traffic. Keep pressures at the placard value, because budget compounds lose grip faster when overheated on 60–70°C summer roads.

The AT5000 max can handle weekend sand trips at 15–18 PSI, but for frequent dune driving or rocky wadis a stronger sidewall is worth paying for.

Typical price per tyre

Typical fitted price per tyre: AED 200–400 for HP6000 eco sedan sizes, AED 330–565 for HT5000 max, AED 400–600 for SU5000 max and AED 550–680 for AT5000 max. Confirmed on WhatsApp after you share your size.

Zeetex does not own tyre factories. Its tyres are produced to ZAFCO specifications by partner manufacturers in Asia, and most UAE-market sizes, including the HT5000 max and SU5000 max, carry Thai production markings. The DOT code on the sidewall shows the actual plant for each tyre.

The range covers passenger cars (HP6000 eco), performance SUVs (SU5000 max), highway SUVs (HT5000 max) and all-terrain 4x4s (AT5000 max). Prices are among the lowest for a branded tyre in the Gulf: roughly AED 240–400 for common sedan sizes and AED 330–680 for SUV and 4x4 sizes, fitted.

For drivers who need safe, new tyres at a budget price, Zeetex is a reasonable choice, but grip, braking and tread life are a clear step below the Japanese and Korean mid-range brands.

FAQ

Questions drivers ask us

Wheel alignment inside a tyre service centre

Are Zeetex tyres good?

Zeetex tyres are acceptable budget tyres for city and highway driving, with low prices and fresh local stock. They do not match mid-range brands like Hankook or Falken for wet braking or tread life, so they suit drivers who prioritise cost over maximum grip.

Zeetex tyres made in which country?

Zeetex is owned by ZAFCO of Dubai, UAE, but the tyres are made by partner factories in Asia; most UAE-market sizes are produced in Thailand. The DOT code on the sidewall shows the exact factory.

Is Zeetex a Dubai brand?

Yes. Zeetex is the house brand of ZAFCO, a tyre company founded in Dubai in 1993, which bought the global rights to the Zeetex name in 2011. The company is Dubai-based, but it does not manufacture tyres in the UAE.

Zeetex tyres price in UAE

Zeetex tyres in the UAE typically cost AED 200–400 per tyre fitted for sedan sizes, AED 330–600 for SUV sizes and up to about AED 680 for the AT5000 max all-terrain. Confirm the price for your size on WhatsApp.

How long do Zeetex tyres last?

Zeetex passenger tyres usually last 30,000–45,000 km in the UAE, and the HT5000 max 35,000–50,000 km on SUVs. Rotate every 10,000 km and keep pressures correct to reach the upper end.
