Nissan tyre change

Nissan in the UAE means two very different tyre jobs: the Patrol, one of the heaviest and most powerful SUVs on the road, and high-mileage sedans such as the Sunny and Altima. The Y62 Patrol runs 275/70 R18 or 275/60 R20 with a load index around 116, and its weight and 400 hp V8 make heat resistance and load rating non-negotiable, especially on long runs to Liwa or Oman.

The Patrol is also a desert favourite, and a lot of owners swap to all-terrain tyres for dune trips. On the sedan side, the Sunny and Altima are common as taxis and fleet cars, where a long-wearing touring tyre and regular pressure checks give the lowest running cost.

  • Patrol tyres need a load index around 116; do not drop to a lower-rated tyre.
  • The newer Y63 Patrol uses different sizes from the Y62; always check the placard.
  • Sunny and Altima fleet cars benefit from monthly pressure checks and 10,000 km rotation.
