Performance
Toyo's identity is off-road capability. The Open Country A/T III has strong sand, gravel and rock traction and was designed to keep reasonable road manners, while the Open Country M/T is a dedicated mud-terrain tyre with very aggressive shoulder lugs for rocky wadis and serious dune bashing.
On the road, the Proxes Sport is the standout: it gives sharp steering and good dry grip for its price. The Proxes ST III suits large SUVs with big wheels, and the Proxes CF2 is a simple, comfortable tyre for everyday compact cars.
Durability
Toyo off-road tyres are known for tough construction. The Open Country A/T III commonly lasts 55,000–70,000 km on a Land Cruiser or Patrol with regular rotation, and its casing resists sidewall cuts on rocky wadi tracks better than most mid-range rivals.
The Open Country M/T wears faster on tarmac, typically 35,000–45,000 km, because the large tread blocks squirm at highway speeds. Proxes road tyres give 35,000–50,000 km depending on the model and driving style.
In UAE conditions
For dune driving in Al Faya, Big Red or Liwa, the Open Country A/T III works well at 15–18 PSI, and the M/T can go a little lower for experienced drivers. Always reinflate to placard pressure before returning to the highway; running an aired-down LT tyre at 120 km/h overheats the sidewall quickly in summer.
Toyo road tyres handle summer heat well. If you fit LT-rated Open Country sizes, ask about the correct road pressure, since LT tyres often need higher pressure than the original P-metric fitment.
Typical price per tyre
Typical UAE price per Toyo tyre with mobile fitting for 16–20 inch sizes. Proxes CF2 for small cars starts near the bottom; Open Country M/T in LT and 20 inch sizes reaches the top. The exact quote is confirmed on WhatsApp after you share the size.
