BAW tyre change
BAW (Beijing Automobile Works) builds the rugged side of the BAIC group: the BJ212 off-roader, the BJ2022 Warrior, Warrior pickups and light commercial vehicles such as the Ace M7. BAW is not an established brand in the UAE, but its 4x4s and pickups turn up as imports and work vehicles.

The older BJ212 runs on 215/80 R16, the Warrior and Warrior Pickup on 265/75 R16, and the current BJ212 on 265/70 R17. These are all common off-road and light-truck sizes, so A/T and M/T tyres from established brands are easy to fit. For pickups that carry weight, match or exceed the original load index, and lower pressure for sand rather than running road pressure off-road.
- 265/75 R16 is a popular A/T size, so Warrior owners have plenty of choice.
- Warrior pickups that carry loads should keep the original load index or higher.
- Lower pressure for sand and reinflate before returning to tarmac.

What tyre size does a BAW BJ212 use?
Older BJ212s use 215/80 R16. The new BJ212 from 2024 uses 265/70 R17, with 285/70 R17 on some versions.
Is BAW the same as BAIC?
BAW is part of the same Beijing Automotive group, focused on off-roaders, pickups and vans. Older BAW vehicles were badged Beiqi.
How much are A/T tyres for a BAW Warrior?
