Brilliance tyre change
Brilliance is a Shenyang carmaker best known as BMW's joint-venture partner in China. Its own-brand cars, such as the H530 and H230 sedans, the FRV hatchback and the V5 and V3 crossovers, were exported to Egypt, Russia and other markets in the 2010s, but sales have largely stopped, so most Brilliance cars in the UAE are older imports kept running by their owners.

The sizes are modest and easy to find: 185/60 R15 on the H230, 195/65 R15 on the FRV and H320, 195/65 R15 or 205/55 R16 on the H530, 215/60 R17 or 215/55 R18 on the V3 and 225/55 R17 on the V5. On cars of this age, check the DOT date on every tyre, because tyres older than five or six years can crack in UAE heat even with tread left.
