Eagle tyre change
Eagle was a short-lived Chrysler brand created after it bought AMC in 1987, and it closed in 1998. Its cars were mostly badge-engineered: the Talon was a twin of the Mitsubishi Eclipse, the Summit was a Mitsubishi, and the Vision shared its body with the Chrysler Concorde and Dodge Intrepid. Eagles are very rare in the UAE today and almost always private imports.

The Talon TSi AWD turbo is the model enthusiasts keep, and it uses 205/55 R16, with some later cars on 215/50 R17. The Vision TSi runs 225/60 R16. Because these cars are often modified, the size on the car may differ from the factory size, so the sidewall is the first thing to check.
- Talon TSi AWD needs four matching tyres to protect the centre differential.
- Talon sizes are the same as the Mitsubishi Eclipse of the same years.
- Check the tyre age on any Eagle; most have been stored for long periods.
Factory tyre sizes
| Model | Size |
|---|---|
| Talon (TSi AWD) | 205/55 R16 |
| Vision (TSi) | 225/60 R16 |
| Vision (ESi, 15-inch) | 205/70 R15 |
Sizes vary by trim and year. Always check the tyre sidewall or the driver's door placard.

Is an Eagle Talon the same as a Mitsubishi Eclipse?
Mechanically, yes. Both were built by Diamond-Star Motors in the US, and they share tyre sizes for the same trim.
