FAW Mazda tyre change
FAW-Mazda built Mazdas in China until the venture was folded into Changan Mazda in 2018. Its best-known products were the Atenza, which is the China name for the Mazda6, and the CX-4, a coupe-styled SUV that was only sold in China. Neither was sold new in the UAE under the FAW-Mazda badge, so these are rare imports.

The Atenza uses the same sizes as the GCC Mazda6: 225/55 R17 on base wheels and 225/45 R19 on upper trims. The CX-4 is less familiar to UAE fitters but uses common SUV sizes, 225/65 R17 or 225/55 R19, so finding replacements is straightforward once the size is confirmed.
- Atenza tyres are the same as Mazda6 tyres, so stock is easy to find.
- 19 inch Atenza and CX-4 wheels have short sidewalls; take speed bumps slowly.
- Rotate tyres every 10,000 km to even out front wear.
