FAW Volkswagen tyre change
FAW-Volkswagen is one of Volkswagen's two Chinese joint ventures and builds models such as the Sagitar (China's Jetta), Magotan (a Passat variant), Bora, CC and Tayron SUV. These cars are sold in China and are not part of Volkswagen's UAE range, so they appear here only as imports.

Tyre sizes are familiar VW sizes. The Sagitar uses 205/55 R17 or 225/45 R18, the Magotan 215/55 R17 or 235/45 R18, the Bora 205/55 R16 and the Tayron 235/55 R18. Most are easy to source in the UAE; the main thing to check is that the load and speed rating match the placard, as Chinese-spec trims can differ from European ones.
- Sagitar and Magotan tyres are standard VW sizes and easy to source.
- Match the load and speed rating on the placard, not just the size.
- Tayron 4MOTION models should have all four tyres replaced together.
