Lifan tyre change
Lifan is a Chongqing motorcycle and car maker whose budget sedans and SUVs were exported widely to Russia, Iran and parts of the Middle East in the 2010s. After financial trouble the car business was restructured with Geely's involvement and now trades as Livan, so most Lifan cars in the UAE are older imports such as the X60 and X70 SUVs and the Solano sedan.

The X60 uses 215/65 R16, the X70 215/60 R17 or 225/55 R18, the X50 and Solano 195/60 R15 and the 530 sedan 185/60 R15. These are common sizes, so a value tyre is easy to fit, but on an older X60 check that the previous owner has not fitted a smaller size, which upsets the speedometer and ride height.
- The X60's 215/65 R16 is a common SUV size and quick to source.
- Check the DOT date on older Lifans; heat ages rubber faster than mileage.
- Newer Livan-badged cars use different sizes, so send us a sidewall photo.
