Lucid tyre change
Lucid, the Saudi-backed US electric car maker, opened its first UAE studio at City Walk in Dubai in 2024, so the Air sedan is now sold here new. The Air is built for range, and wheel size makes a real difference: the 19 inch Aero wheels use 245/45 R19 on all four corners, while the 20 and 21 inch options are staggered with wider rear tyres.

On 21 inch wheels the Air uses 245/35 R21 front and 265/35 R21 rear, which grip well but cut range and are more exposed to kerb and pothole damage. Like other powerful EVs, the Air is heavy and wears rear tyres quickly under hard acceleration, so check the rear tread and pressures every month.
- 19 inch tyres give the best range; 21 inch tyres trade range for grip.
- Staggered 20 and 21 inch setups cannot be rotated front to rear.
- Choose EV-rated or high load index tyres to handle the Air's weight.

FAQ
Questions drivers ask us
What tyre size does a Lucid Air use?
It depends on the wheels: 245/45 R19 on 19 inch Aero wheels, or staggered 245/35 R21 front and 265/35 R21 rear on 21 inch wheels.
Do bigger wheels reduce Lucid Air range?
Yes. Larger, wider tyres add rolling resistance and weight, so the 19 inch setup gives the longest range.
How much are Lucid Air tyres in the UAE?
Usually AED 900 to 1,800 per tyre fitted, with 21 inch performance sizes at the top of that range.
