MAN tyre change
MAN is best known for trucks, but its TGE large van is a version of the Volkswagen Crafter. MAN launched the TGE in the UAE in 2025 with its long-standing importer, Darwish bin Ahmed & Sons, focusing on passenger transport and ambulances. Crafters and TGEs share wheels and tyre sizes, which helps with stock.

Most TGEs use commercial 205/75 R16C tyres, with 235/65 R16C and 235/60 R17C on other versions. Staff buses and ambulances run long hours in UAE heat, often fully loaded, so the load index and correct pressure matter more than anything else. Twin rear wheel versions also need the inner tyres checked regularly.
- A TGE takes the same tyres as a VW Crafter of the same version.
- Use C-rated commercial tyres only; car tyres are not built for van loads.
- Check inner rear tyres on twin-wheel vans; they are easy to miss.
